How to Apply for Property Tax ID in Haryana

Step-by-Step Guide to Apply for Property Tax ID:

  1. Gather Required Documents: Begin by collecting the necessary documents. These typically include:

    • Property deed or ownership documents
    • Identity proof (such as Aadhar card, PAN card, or passport)
    • Address proof (utility bills, Aadhar card, or voter ID)
    • Recent passport-sized photographs
  2. Visit the Municipal Corporation Office: Head to the Municipal Corporation Office in Faridabad. Locate the department responsible for property tax assessment and collection. You can inquire about the specific forms and procedures for obtaining a Property Tax ID.

  3. Fill Out the Application Form: Obtain the application form for the Property Tax ID. Fill it out carefully, providing accurate information as per your property documents. Double-check the details to avoid any errors that may delay the process.

  4. Submit Required Documents: Along with the filled application form, submit all the necessary documents mentioned earlier. Ensure that the copies are clear and legible. Any discrepancies or missing documents might prolong the application process.

  5. Pay the Applicable Fees: There might be a nominal fee associated with the issuance of the Property Tax ID. Inquire about the fee structure and make the payment at the designated counter. Retain the payment receipt for future reference.

  6. Verification and Processing: After submitting the application and documents, the Municipal Corporation will initiate the verification process. This may involve a physical inspection of the property to verify details provided in the application.

  7. Receipt of Property Tax ID: Once the verification process is complete and everything is in order, you will receive your Property Tax ID. This unique identifier will be crucial for all future property tax-related transactions and communications.

Tips for a Smooth Application Process:

  • Ensure Document Accuracy: Double-check all documents and information provided in the application form to avoid delays or rejections.

  • Timely Follow-Up: If there’s a delay in processing or if you haven’t received your Property Tax ID within the stipulated time, don’t hesitate to follow up with the Municipal Corporation office.

  • Keep Records Secure: Maintain copies of all submitted documents, application forms, and payment receipts for your records. These may be required for future reference.

  • Stay Informed: Keep yourself updated with any changes in property tax regulations or procedures issued by the Haryana State Government or the Faridabad Municipal Corporation.

By following these steps diligently, you can streamline the process of obtaining a Property Tax ID for your property in  Haryana. Compliance with property tax regulations not only fulfills your civic responsibility but also contributes to the development and maintenance of essential public services in your locality.

    • There is no such provision for deletion of Property ID. Please visit your zonal office and diary application to respective Zonal Taxation officer so that they consider and issue this to another property ID.
